The Board of Education approved the name Ho`okele for the Department's newest elementary school, which will open in July 2015. Ho`okele means navigator, and is meant to reflect the learning environment.

Ho`okele's school colors are teal and gray.
Our school mascot is the Spotted Eagle Ray (hihimanu).
